In Abuja, bandits murder residents, kidnap numerous people
In Abuja, the capital of Nigeria, gunmen who are thought to be bandits have kidnapped numerous people and killed two people.
It was discovered that Munu, a community in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) that is part of the Abaji area council, was the target of the gunmen’s Tuesday afternoon attack.
A supply store and a bar were reportedly also looted by the gunmen during the hour-long operation, according to a source.
A Federal Government College is located in our neighboring community of Rubochi. “Some mobile policemen deployed to Rubochi visited us about 30 minutes after the operation and they promised to come back for fact-finding,” the source continued.
The Police Public Relations Officer for the Federal Capital Territory, DSP Josephine Adeh, had not yet responded to a press inquiry as of the time this report was published.
Communities in Abaji have recently experienced a number of attacks and kidnappings, in addition to Kuje where several abductions have happened in the past.
