Obi storms Edo and urges supporters to keep the momentum going by voting for LP candidates on March 18

At a thank-you visit on Saturday, Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, canvassed for the party’s candidates in the state house of assembly election on March 18.

Obi urged the party’s supporters in Edo State not to be deterred by the results of the presidential election but rather to keep up the momentum by supporting all of the party’s candidates in the state house of assemblies and governorship elections taking place on March 18 across the country.

The Labour Party will continue to receive our votes, Obi declared.

The party plans to host a retreat for the candidates who won the recently held national assembly elections and the ones that will be held on March 18. He urged them to act differently.

He claimed that the retreat would give them the opportunity to learn how to alter the national political narrative.

Obi declared, “We are going to hold a retreat with our candidates to ensure that people who are elected under our party act differently.

For his part, the party’s national chairman Julius Abure stated that the labor party’s candidates for the house of assembly election had not resigned for anyone and were not supported by any other parties or candidates. Instead, they were running as independents.

The people spreading the rumors, according to him, are doing so because the state’s residents have rejected them, which has caused them to lose contact with them.

According to Abure, because the state’s residents have rejected their political parties, they are looking for a way to align themselves with the Labour Party in order to win the election.

In order to ensure the party’s victory on March 18, he urged the state’s citizens to cast their ballots for party candidates in large numbers.

Earlier, Kelly Agbaloi, the party’s state chairman, thanked Peter Obi, the party’s presidential candidate, and Julius Abure, the party’s national chairman, for visiting the state. She added that their presence had given all of the Obidients supporters in the state a boost.

When voting en masse for all of the party’s candidates in the state’s house of assembly election on March 18th, he claimed that the people of the state would finish what they had begun.

He claimed that by personally endorsing each house of assembly candidate, the presidential candidate put to rest any doubters who had been claiming that the party had no candidates for the state’s house of assembly election.
