Breaking: Supreme Court confirms Edeoga as Enugu LP candidate

The Labour Party’s legitimate candidate for governor in Enugu State, according to the Supreme Court, is Chijioke Edeoga.

Everestus Nnaji disputed Edeoga’s eligibility.

An earlier order for a new election came from the Federal High Court in Abuja, but Edeoga went further and appealed the decision.

Despite receiving a favorable ruling, Nnaji continued his appeal to the Supreme Court.

The Apex Court decided in Edeoga’s favor in a decision on Monday.

The Court of Appeal’s Abuja Division had earlier ruled that Edeoga was the legitimate Labour Party candidate for governor, and the Supreme Court upheld that decision.

It described Nnaji (Odengene) as a meddlesome interloper who shouldn’t have gone to court in first place, since he didn’t participate in the Labour Party Governorship Primaries in the first place.
