The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kebbi State chapter, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Executive Governor of Kebbi State, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, for his unwavering support and generosity during its recent spiritual and humanitarian activities in the state championed by the Senior Pastor of Dunamis Church, Pastor (Dr) Paul Enenche.

In a statement issued by the state CAN Chairman, Most Rev. Bishop Kanta, the association lauded Governor Idris for graciously approving the use of the state stadium for the grand crusade, as well as the banquet hall of the Presidential Lodge for the ministers’ meeting.

The Christian body also acknowledged the state government’s role in facilitating the distribution of palliatives to students and women during the event and the gift of 30million naira from the governor towards the program.

“These kind gestures have gone a long way in reaffirming the cordial relationship between the Christian community and the Kebbi State Government,” Bishop Kanta noted.

Describing the governor as “a jolly friend of all Christians and CAN leadership in the state,” the CAN Chairman emphasized that the governor’s inclusive governance style continues to promote peace, religious harmony, and mutual respect among the diverse religious groups in the state.

In the press Statement issued, the CAN Chairman , Kebbi State Chapter also cleared the air on the 30 million gift of the state government publicly rejected by Pst Dr Paul Enenche.

He disclosed that the 30 million naira was a gift towards the program and not for Pst Paul Enenche who actually has the principle of not accepting gift during his crusades and humanitarian outreaches.

He said the money has been redirected to the land approved by the state government for Christian cemetery for the construction it’s fence.

CAN called on other leaders across the country to emulate Governor Idris’s exemplary approach to interfaith relations and community support.
