The administrative offices of the Okehi Local Government Area in Kogi State were attacked and completely destroyed less than four days before the February general election by some unidentified gunmen.
According to information obtained, the incident took place on Monday night when the attackers used some explosives to invade the neighborhood.
William Ovye Aya, the Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident when contacted.

He said the command had launched an inquiry to determine what sparked the attack.
Remember that in January, a car bomb explosion in the Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State resulted in about four deaths and numerous injuries. The Islamic State-backed faction of Boko Haram, the Islamic State West Africa Province, or ISWAP, claimed responsibility.
