Edo government announces new dates for school certificate exams

New dates for the state’s school certificate exams have been announced by the Edo government.
The 2023 Middle Basic Examination (MBE), also known as the Primary Six Certificate Examination, has been rescheduled for May 6, according to a statement made on Sunday in Benin by Oni Ekhosuehi, the state’s permanent secretary in charge of education.

The Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), formerly known as the Junior School Certificate Examination (JSCE), will take place from May 2 to May 5, according to Mr. Ekhosuehi on behalf of the state commissioner for education, Joan Osa-Oviawe.

Due to the conflict with the 2023 State House of Assembly election, the exams that were originally scheduled for March were postponed.
