Five suspected dealers in human parts who specialize in exhuming bodies have been detained by the Ogun State Police Command.
It was reported that Abimbola Oyeyemi, the state police public relations officer, revealed this in a statement on Sunday.
Oshole Fayemi (60), Osemi Adesanya (39), Ismaila Seidu (30), Oseni Oluwasegun (69), and Lawal Olaiya (50) were the suspects who were detained on Saturday as they prepared to conduct an operation at their hiding places.
According to reports, the police stormed the gang’s hideout after receiving word at the Odogbolu Divisional Headquarters that they intended to conduct another round of human parts harvest.

According to Oyeyemi, the suspects have made confessional statements and were in charge of many corpses that were exhumed from graves within the Ososa community in the state’s Odogbolu Local Government Area for ritual purposes.
The state’s commissioner of police, Frank Mba, has ordered that the suspects be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for covert investigation and potential prosecution, the police spokesman continued.
According to Oyeyemi, “Five of the suspects were apprehended after the Divisional Police Officer of Odogbolu Division, CSP Godwin Idehai, mobilized his men and stormed the suspects’ hideout.

“During questioning, the suspects made confessional statements regarding their involvement in the business of exhuming corpses from their graves and their past sales of such corpse parts to their standby buyers who need them for money-making rituals.”
