The governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has stated that his administration will support a local from Amagunze in the Nkanu East Local Government Area who created the battery-powered cooking stoves that are currently trending on social media.
The governor was quoted as saying in a statement released on Sunday in Enugu by his Senior Special Assistant, Mr. Louis Amoke: “The state government has noted with delight the exploits of one of its own.
The Enugu State government is proud of the inventor for his exceptional craftsmanship, which is consistent with my administration’s commitment to fostering and utilizing science- and technology-driven innovations.
According to the statement, Gov. Ugwuanyi will meet with the inventor who was born in Enugu this week to discuss how government can support him as much as possible.
The purpose of the meeting, according to the statement, is to make sure that his potentials are fully realized for both his and the public’s benefit. (NAN)
