HEI Nigeria Thrills Teachers with Pre-Resumption Seminar as 2025/2026 Academic Session Begins

It was excitement and renewed energy over the weekend as Human Enhancement Institute (HEI) Nigeria hosted its much-anticipated Pre-Resumption Seminar for school teachers, held online from Friday, August 29 to Saturday, August 30, 2025.
The seminar, hosted online themed “Effective Resumption – Readiness, Resilience and Responsibility for a Successful Term Beginning,” provided teachers in the private school sector with practical tools to overcome workplace frustrations, reposition themselves professionally, and start the new academic year with confidence.
Other enriching sessions covered include; Teachers’ Mindset & Professional Repositioning, Winning Strategies for a Smooth First Term Resumption & Effective Admission Drive, Understanding Schools, Proprietors & Building Cordial Relationships – Bridging the Gap Between Teachers’ Expectations and Proprietors’ Reality
According to the facilitator and Lead Director of HEI Nigeria, Coach Da-Silva Johnson, the training was not organized for financial gain but to help solve the growing challenge of teacher shortage in Private Schools across Nigeria.
“Many schools complain of lack of teachers. This puts heavy workloads on the few available staff, who are often underpaid. The result is hostility, frustration, and indiscriminate resignations, leaving classrooms unattended. In the end, learners suffer the most. This seminar is our little contribution to bridging that gap,” he said.
Coach Johnson also urged government to support private schools through grants and inclusive teacher postings.
“During the Buhari era, some schools lost up to 18 of their staff to N-Power but were not given replacements. If government can post even two teachers per school under its schemes while paying them, it will strengthen private schools and give young graduates a pathway into the system,”
he added.
The highlight of the seminar was the overwhelming positive feedback from participants, who described the training as impactful, inspirational, and far beyond their expectations.

In his closing remarks, Coach Johnson encouraged teachers to apply the lessons learned in their classrooms, stressing that true change would only come when teachers actively translate knowledge into action.
