Nasarawa New D.G swings into action, Recorded results in 5 weeks, as Group Task him to work for National Interest

National Interest Network, NIN has task the recently appointed Director General of Nasarawa State Emergency Management Agency (NASEMA) , to work in the interest of Nigeria and Nigerians.
This was said on Saturday during a courtesy visit of the Network Officials in Nasarawa State to the Newly Appointed Director General, Barrister Benjamin Akwash.
The team, headed by the National President, His Excellency, Da-Silva O. Johnson (TM, TEMMA) congratulated Amb. Barr. Benjamin Akwash who was appointed five weeks ago by the state Government, Engineer Abdullahi Sule and encouraged never to give up efforts but to do his best in other to make his mark.
The National Financial Secretary of the network, Hon Girgir Isreal Girgir congratulated the Barrister and informed him that the team visited to felicitate with him on his recent appointment as Director General to NASEMA.
Girgir on behalf of the network congratulated him and pledged support for the Barrister, being an ‘NIN’ member and Nasarawa State Ambassador for the network. He added that he must succeed.
The Chairman of Political Affairs of the network, Honorable Francis Alaku also congratulated the DG and said the team wishes not to just congratulate him but to remind him of the values we share and that is to work for National Interest where Nigerians would thank God for him and that God who put him on the sit should be made proud.
The National President of the Network, H.E Da-Silva Johnson happily congratulated him and said the appointment is a plus to NIN which he has laboured to support it’s existence over the years. He further charged him to also represent NIN well by serving in the interest of Nigeria and Nigerians.
Da-Silva encouraged the new appointee to ensure that immediate response is given to people with emergency cases and mentioned few cases of people that their houses and other properties were blown off by wind recently in Akwanga Local Government Area and some buildings that collapsed as well.
He advised that it would make much sense and meaning if such cases are given urgent attention as he promised commitment to his success.
“We are happy because you as one of our members at National Interest Network, NIN is appointed. It is time to serve in higher capacity and with more sensitive responsibilities. We know God would help you. We want you to know that we are committed to your success.
“Also, we want you to remember what we stand for, which is National Interest. Kindly do your best to ensure that people with emergency issues are helped timely and to also work in such away that the people would always thank God that you were appointed into that respected office”. Da-Silva said.
The DG in response expressed his gratitude to the officials for finding out time to visit him and wish him well despite their tight schedule. He pledged his commitment and promise never to let the people down. He revealed how he has swang into action since his assumption of office.
“As a member of National Interest Network, I shall not forget the principles of the network which is for interest of Nigeria and Nigerians as the President has rightly said. Position is not just to be occupied but to work and make a mark. I will try my best. You can be rest assured that I will work for the interest of the people of the state and the national at large.
“Let me disclose to you that 5 weeks ago that I was appointed , I have not been sitting down doing nothing and waiting for emergency situations before I work. No! I have been working and making contact with other Government Agencies to build synergy. I was at Federal University Teaching Hospital and had a meeting with the Chief Medical Director (CMD), I told him it is important we work together and better because, all patients of emergency be it flood, fire or accident are ending up here either alive and severely injured or their corpses.
“We must build synergy. I had also seen the Federal and State Fire Service to discuss working together better and other bodies as well. I have been working and we shall do more” Barr Benjamin stated.
The Welfare Secretary, Hon Anna Ayuba also gave her congratulatory message and assured the Director General that NIN cares. She prayed for wisdom as he discharge his responsibilities.
The team applauded him for the current efforts he has put in place in just 5 weeks and pray that God upholds and sustain him.
