PDP leaders in Osun storm appeals court for Adeleke

Top PDP officials and supporters showed their support for Governor Ademola Adeleke by occupying the Court of Appeal in Abuja early on Monday.

There were over 15 members of the governor’s legal team present in court.

Members of the State Working Committee, the Abuja leadership of the Imole Movement, and a 15-person delegation from each of Osun’s three senatorial districts accompanied Dr. Adekunle Akindele, the PDP’s acting state chairman, who led the party leadership.

More than 20 friends of the governor from abroad were also present, along with the governor’s media team, which was headed by his Senior Special Assistant.
Speaking to reporters on the court grounds, Akindele stated that the governor’s team has implicit faith in the integrity of the legal system to uphold the will of the Osun people and that the governor and the PDP have a strong and compelling case before the Appeal Court.

“For the court proceedings, people from all over Osun State and beyond have traveled here. You can see that both the governor and PDP are well-represented. This is an official gathering. But you can see our party’s top officials all over this place,” he said.

“We believe in the justice system. We are absolutely certain that justice will be served. The Osun state populace as well as the party hierarchy support the state governor overwhelmingly. He is making PDP proud as a successful governor.
