Police Inspector Found Dead in Abuja Hotel

A police officer, Inspector Lawal Ibrahim, was found dead in a hotel room in Abuja under circumstances that are currently under investigation.

According to preliminary reports, the officer had checked into Palasa Hotel, Abuja, with a woman identified as Maryam Abba, whom he reportedly met online about three months ago. The two allegedly spent the night together.

Sources say that after an early-morning encounter, Inspector Lawal began experiencing breathing difficulties and later became unresponsive. The woman reportedly attempted to revive him by sprinkling water on his face before alerting the hotel management.

The hotel management contacted the police, and officers who arrived at the scene found Inspector Lawal lifeless. He was later confirmed dead at Abuja Teaching Hospital.

Items reportedly recovered from the hotel room include watermelon, a suspected sex-enhancing substance, and a phone charger.

Maryam Abba has been taken into custody pending further investigation. As of the time of filing this report, the Nigeria Police Force is yet to issue an official statement on the incident.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of death.
