Thugs attack LP assembly candidate in Anambra community

During the ongoing Anambra State assembly election, thugs allegedly attacked Joseph Chukwujekwu Okeke, a Labour Party candidate for the Awka South II constituency.
It was discovered that the thugs had broken into the Nibo neighborhood on Saturday in the state’s Awka South Local Government Area.

In a widely shared video, the state assembly candidate could be seen with wounds after his Toyota Camry was vandalized.

Additionally, the video showed that a few police officers showed up in the area shortly after and sped off to their office with Hon. Okeke.

Eight states in Nigeria, including Anambra, will not hold their governorship elections on the same day as 28 other states.
