In order to give a public lecture at King’s College, London, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will leave Abuja on Sunday.
The lecture was a component of the school’s yearly Africa Week 2023 events, according to a statement from Osinbajo’s spokesperson, Laolu Akande, in Abuja.
In 1829, King George IV and the Duke of Wellington founded the King’s College London, which later became one of the two founding colleges of the University of London in 1836.
The vice president will attend the lecture as a Special Guest of the King’s College Africa Leadership Centre (ALC) and will meet with key administrators there before giving the speech.
The talk is anticipated to adhere to the King’s College Africa Week 2023 theme, “Changing Africa in a Shifting Global Landscape.”
Every year, research, education, and outreach initiatives on Africa are celebrated during Africa Week.
It brings together academics, researchers, and students and provides a chance to hear from African leaders, thinkers, and scholars.
Osinbajo’s lecture will center on the issue of how Africa can thrive in a world that is getting more complex as an African politician and thought leader.
Within a week, the vice president should be back in Nigeria.
