Fulani Herders Attack 24years Old, One Other in Nasarawa Community

A 24year Old man has been attacked by Fulani Herders in Nasarawa State community escaping with deep cuts.
TEC News correspondent who spoke with an uncle of the victim said, the incident occurred on Sunday at Nindan Village, Ningha’an District, Akwanga Local Government of Nasarawa State.
As narrated by the uncle, Pastor Monday Bulus, the victim identified as James Ibrahim heard that the farm lands in the community have been invaded by Fulani herdsmen , allowing their cattle destroyed the farms. He rushed down to see if his farm was also invaded.
Getting to the farm , he saw that a nearby farm to his was already destroyed and the owner of the farm attacked, maltreated and he intervened by asking why, then he was attacked for asking.
According to Monday, the other farmer identified as Ado Sadaka was macheted on the head with deep wounds while James Ibrahim’s hand was deeply cut because he used his hand to defend himself and blocked the cutlass aimed at his neck.
Monday confirmed that both victims have been rushed to the hospital and undergoing treatment while the case has been reported to the police at Andaha Town in the same Local Government Area, Nasarawa State.
The Police when contacted confirmed the incident. The Divisional Crime Officer , DCO at Andaha Police Division, ASP Solomon Danladi explained that in as much as the suspect has not been arrested, the leader and caretaker of the Fulani community in the land , Alhaji Saidu has been arrested.
The arrested Fulani leader told the police that the Fulani suspect who perpetrated the evil is one of the new Fulani Herdsmen that migrated from Bauchi on Saturday to seek greener pasture for their herds.
“The suspect has not been arrested but we have arrested the caretakers and leaders of the Fulani people in the community who is already helping the police in our investigations”. ASP Solomon said.
