With only two weeks until the election, a new poll by Bloomberg finds that Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s nominee for president, continues to be the top choice to lead the country moving forward.

On Friday, Premise Data Corporation released the survey results for Bloomberg News.

Two-thirds of those polled said they planned to support Obi in a race that will also feature fierce competition from Bola Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party.

The San Francisco-based Premise claimed to have surveyed 2,384 Nigerians between January 26 and February 4 using a smartphone app. Submissions were chosen from quotas created by age, gender, and location across the six geopolitical zones of the country.

Bloomberg added that in order to ensure national representation, it compared the results to the original quotas.

Obi received 66% of the votes from those who had already made up their minds, while Tinubu received 18% and Atiku received 10%, per the poll’s findings.

Obi received 47% of the vote from undecided voters, followed by Tinubu with 27% and Atiku with 9%.

According to Bloomberg, 66% of the 93% of participants who said they had made up their minds about how they would vote named Obi as their top pick.

Remember that Obi received a slightly higher 72% of votes from voters who had already made up their minds in an earlier Premise poll that Bloomberg released in September as the official election campaign got underway.
