FG Unveils List of 15 Suspected Terrorism Financiers After Major Security Review

The Federal Government has released a new list of 15 individuals and business entities accused of financing terrorist activities within and outside Nigeria, an action security officials describe as one of the most decisive moves yet in the country’s intensified counter-terrorism efforts.
The list, drawn from an extensive inter-agency security review, identifies nine individuals and six companies allegedly linked to the movement of funds, logistics, and support materials to extremist networks. The development was disclosed through security updates attributed to defence analyst ZagazOla.
Those named include:
1. Tukur Mamu,
2. Yusuf Ghazali,
3. Muhammad Sani,
4. Abubakar Muhammad,
5. Sallamudeen Hassan,
6. Adamu Ishak,
7. Hassana-Oyiza Isah,
8. Abdulkareem Musa, and
9. Umar Abdullahi.
Also flagged are several businesses , mostly Bureau De Change operators and general trading companies suspected of facilitating questionable transactions tied to terrorist groups. The companies include: West & East Africa General Trading Company Ltd, Settings Bureau De Change Ltd, G. Side General Enterprises, Desert Exchange Ventures Ltd, Eagle Square General Trading Company Ltd, Alfa Exchange BDC.
Security operatives involved in the investigation say the clampdown follows months of intelligence tracking, during which suspicious financial flows were monitored with the support of international partners. A senior security official described the effort as an attempt to “cut off the oxygen supply” that sustains terror cells.
Authorities say the action forms part of a wider national strategy to strengthen financial-sector compliance, curb the misuse of BDC operations, and reinforce ongoing military campaigns in the North-East and North-West.
Government insiders also confirmed that the dragnet will expand, as more individuals and entities are currently under security surveillance for possible links to terrorist financing.
