A suspected outbreak of Meningitis has been reported in Gusau metropolis, raising fresh public health concerns in Zamfara State.

According to information circulating on social media and attributed to local health authorities, at least seven (7) cases have been recorded within the last 48 hours, with two (2) reported fatalities.
Health experts warn that meningitis is a serious and potentially life-threatening condition that requires urgent medical attention if not detected and treated early.

Residents have been advised to remain vigilant and watch for symptoms such as high fever, stiff neck, severe headache, sensitivity to light, confusion, vomiting, and seizures.

Authorities Yet to Issue Official Statement
