Shehu Sani, a former lawmaker from Nigeria, has issued a warning ahead of the upcoming general elections, stating that choosing the wrong candidate would result in four more years of darkness for the nation.
Sani urged Nigerians to choose a capable leader by using their conscience and experience as their guides.
On Tuesday, he posted a message on his verified Twitter account that included this declaration.

Sani, a social critic as well, pleaded with Nigerians not to follow the wrong lead of religious leaders.
This nation will meet history on Saturday. Never cast your ballot for a candidate because your mosque or church asked you to. Choose an experienced and moral leader by following your conscience. A poor decision will lead to four more years of darkness, he tweeted.
