On Sunday, unknown assailants went back to attacking security checkpoints in Enugu State, reportedly taking the lives of two police officers in the process.
According to reports the attackers started their rampage at a police checkpoint that was located relatively close to the UNEC campus of the University of Nigeria.
One of our sources has hinted that the law enforcement officers who were conducting the stop and search operations were taken by surprise.
Two of the officers can be seen in the video lying in a pool of their own blood, which is currently going viral on social media.
There has not been any statement regarding the incident issued by the Enugu State Police Command as of yet.
