NAPPS Nigeria enjoined Governments, Others to secure learning Institutions from threats, Solicits Support for Teachers.

The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools , NAPPS Nigeria has enjoined Governments at all levels to provide safe environment that is free of threats of any kind in the various institutions and solicits support for Teachers to enable them carry out their teaching responsibilities more efficiently.
This was contained in a message signed by the National President, Chief Yomi Otubela and sent to the members of the Association on Thursday to mark the World Teachers Day.
In the message sighted by TEC News Correspondent, Otubela applauded the efforts of Teachers as they impart the children on a daily basis and reminded them that they are role models.
He also charged stakeholders in education to encourage and support teachers psychologically, mentally and by remuneration to enable them discharge their duties more efficiently.
“I warmly congratulate all teachers, particularly the Nigerian teachers on the occasion of the 2023 World Teachers’ Day celebration” Yomi Otubela Said.
He also added,
“Furthermore, teachers as role models to our children need every support in various areas (psychological support, mental wellness, job security, remuneration, technological support, etc. to successfully carry out their numerous roles in the lives of our children”.
NAPPS Nigeria is rated to be one of the largest employers of labour in Nigeria.

“NAPPS NIGERIA’S MESSAGE IN COMMEMORATION OF THE 2023 WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY*
I warmly congratulate all teachers, particularly the Nigerian teachers on the occasion of the 2023 World Teachers’ Day celebration.
It is a great delight to be associated with these sets of professionals who are committed to preparing and grooming our children to become great leaders in various spheres of life.
It is common knowledge that the importance of teachers in society cannot be overemphasized as they do not only contribute significantly to the academic world but also the development of society at large.
World Teachers’ Day provides a unique opportunity to appreciate our esteemed teachers for their immense contribution to the growth and development of the education sector.
Given the fact that the future of any society lies in the hands of its children, teachers who are the transformation agents in education, should get the necessary support from all stakeholders and feel motivated to achieve the goals of effective and qualitative education.
Furthermore, teachers as role models to our children need every support in various areas (psychological support, mental wellness, job security, remuneration, technological support, etc. to successfully carry out their numerous roles in the lives of our children.
Similarly, I enjoin the governments at all levels and school owners/ administrators to ensure that our learning institutions are adequately secured from threats that could hurt the learning process.
In conclusion, as we celebrate the virtues and heroic qualities of our teachers, I would like to thank all teachers for their support, diligence, and dedication to the teaching profession.
I wish all the Nigerian teachers a happy Teachers’ Day celebration.
