APC National Youth Leader appeals to residents to back Sanwo-Olu for a second term to reward performance

Dayo Israel, the National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has urged Lagos State residents to ensure the reelection of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for a second term in office as compensation for his exceptional performance since his election in 2019.

During his statewide door-to-door voter engagement campaign ahead of the election on Saturday, March 18, Israel, a former member of the State’s Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and a resident of Lagos, made the appeal.

The national youth leader, who was responsible for Badagry, Amuwo Odofin, Mushin, Alimosho, and Festac, among other communities, used the opportunity to highlight community-specific initiatives and projects carried out by the Lagos State administration under Governor Sanwo-Olu.

When Israel’s entourage of local activists and community leaders stopped in Ilasamaja for his campaign, he highlighted some of the major initiatives begun and completed by the Sanwo-Olu administration, including the construction of classrooms and other amenities at local schools like Oduduwa Junior Secondary School, Ajumoni Grammar School, and St. Joseph Secondary School.

“Governor Babajide Sanwoolu has demonstrated his commitment to a Greater Lagos with outstanding cross-sectoral achievements that have helped Lagos retain its lead as one of the largest economies in Africa and the preferred location for domestic and foreign investments,” the speaker said.

Government-run schools provide the best learning environments for our children, civil servants are working at previously unheard-of levels of productivity, and locals can move around and go about their daily lives more easily. This is due to the administration’s dedication to making significant progress in enhancing Lagos’ mobility options and facilitating credit access through organizations and programs like the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund.

I implore the people of Lagos to re-elect Governor Sanwoolu on Saturday in order to carry on the numerous good deeds he has already begun. This will send a strong message that effort and performance matter.

After his effective national mobilization for the APC and President-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the recently concluded presidential election, Israel launched a grassroots campaign for Governor Sanwoolu’s reelection.

His efforts as the leader of the party’s youth wing have garnered praise from the party’s leadership, who unanimously agree that his emergence has revitalized the party’s youth base. This achievement is anticipated to contribute to the APC’s anticipated strong performance in the state elections taking place across the nation on Saturday.
