Bravery: Man Becomes Hero, Saves Nasarawa Community from Imminent Fire Inferno

A young man, Umar Musa who is a moto boy to a fuel tanker has been declared Hero by the residents of Akwanga, Nasarawa State by driving a burning tanker out of the fueling station to prevent escalation of fire inferno in the area.
TEC News correspondent in a chat with the new Hero, Umar Musa gatherred that the fuel tanker belonging to Shafa Oil was discharging fuel at about 6.30pm at Shafa Fueling Station along Lafia Road, Akwanga and surdenely , fire erupted from the tanker at a location closed to the chamber outlet where fuel is released during discharging.
While they tried with the help of the staff and the tanker driver, Umar jumped into the tanker and drove it out of the fuel station to avert further spread of the fire.
This helped to prevent fire affecting the fuel station while efforts to put off the fire continued outside but not to far from the station.
All gadgets to put off the fire were insurficient until the arrival of the fire fighters from Lafia, the capital city of the state . Though the deed was already done but escalation was prevented by the fire fighters.
Some shops around the tanker got affected and as the shop owners explained the incident to our correspondent.
Though goods and properties were lost into the fire but no casualty whatsoever.
