TEC News correspondent during a conversation with the new Hero, Umar Musa who spoke in Hausa Language ,  said the fire occured while the tanker was discharging fuel and he surdenely saw fire coming out from side of the tanker and close to the discharging point. All he could do immediately was to jump into the tanker and drove it out away from the fuel station to avoid escalation of the fire because If the fuel station catches the fire, it would be a catastrophe.

When he was asked how the shops around the tanker location along Lafia road got affected with the fire, Umar said that since the chamber of the fuel was opened because they were already discharging fuel while the fire started, fuel was pouring and you know, where the fuel goes, fire would accompany it and that was how the shops became affected.
