BREAKING: Tinubu Renames University of Maiduguri After Late President Buhari

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially announced the renaming of the University of Maiduguri (UniMaid) in honour of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari.

The announcement was made during a special session of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) convened in Abuja on Thursday, as part of tributes to the late statesman.

With this decision, the federal university located in Borno State will now bear the name Muhammadu Buhari University (MBU), Maiduguri, in recognition of Buhari’s contributions to national development and his commitment to the fight against terrorism, especially in the North-East region.

President Tinubu noted that the gesture was not only symbolic but a testament to Buhari’s enduring legacy and his ties to the region.
