The Executive Chairman of the National Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), Bello Hassan, has cried out on the new act of the corporation.

The chairman of the corporation on his Facebook page alleged that the perpetrator of the new act got the ex-president Muhammadu Buhari to assent the document at the eve of his handover.

The act that has been produced to truncate the former law that governs the corporation is dangerous and a reflection of corruption in Nigeria and in the system.

“This act says the CBN Governor shall be responsible for the appointment of the NDIC Chairman against the former law that gives the president the right to appoint a competent person as chairman of the corporation. Another section that allows the ministry of finance to supervise the corporation has been replacing it with two directors from the CBN”.

He further said that now, “the money of Nigerians is no longer safe as NDIC cannot do anything without the approval of CBN as captured by the new act instead of the corporation to use it’s power to pay the affected depositors if any bank liquidate.

The Executive Chairman was busy talking and showing the two documents that is been discussed and begged the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu not to work with the new act.
