The Federal Government of Nigeria has officially declared Friday, June 6, and Monday, June 9, 2025, as public holidays in celebration of this year’s Eid-ul-Adha celebrations.

The announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on Monday, conveyed through a statement issued by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Magdalene Ajani.

In his message, Minister Tunji-Ojo extended warm congratulations to the Muslim Ummah both within Nigeria and across the diaspora on this significant occasion.

He called on the community to embody the enduring spirit of sacrifice and unwavering faith exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon Him).

The Minister also urged Muslims to use this sacred period to pray for a peaceful, united, and prosperous Nigeria.

Highlighting the ongoing efforts of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, Tunji-Ojo reassured Nigerians that the people-centered reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda remain focused on restoring the nation’s progress and global stature.
