LIVING ABOVE COUNSEL!

1 Kings 12:13-14.
And the king answered the people roughly, and forsook the old men’s counsel that they gave him;
14: And spake to them after the counsel of the young men, saying, My father made your yoke heavy, and I will add to your yoke: my father also chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.
HAPPY NEW MONTH to you and your loved ones in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ who has given us days and years to live for His pleasure. Today’s word says it all; don’t live above counsel.
King Rehoboam rejected wise counsels and refused to take the counsels that would have helped him succeed but took wrong steps of resisting good counsels, he got himself and kingdom destroyed.
Not just anyone can be advised and even when you do, not anyone can take advised. Not even everyone that ask for advise needs the advise. A lot of people out there do not like advise and even when you advise them, they are offended. Some would seek advise and still wait for the direction you would go as they have a premeditated direction they just eagerly wants you to go. Some becomes your permanent enemy the moment you advise them and you chose to be objectives and sincere in your counsel. Some are difficult to be counsel. Uncounselable Husbands and wives, friends, brothers, sisters etc and they are so out there.
I just hope you are not in this categories of people and if you are , don’t worry, just begin to trust God henceforth and to help you overcome the spirit that resist counsel. Don’t always be wise in your own sight. Dont live your life like a deaf and dumb by listening to know one. There are people anointed around you that you can benefit weighty wisdom from their counsels. The counsels you don’t joke with include;
1. The Counsel of God.
2. Counsels of ministers of God.
3. Counsels of Elders.
4. Counsels of Parents.
5. Counsels of those that senior you in a particular cause or career.
6. Counsels of Coaches and trainers.
7. Counsels of husband or wife.
8. Counsel of predecessor.
9. Counsel of Professionals and experts.Doctors, lawyers,engineers etc.
10. Counsel of rulers and kings.
11. Counsels of wise and intelligent people no matter how young.
12. Counsel of mentors.
These are the apostles of wisdom that can help you succeed in life and in the multitude of these counsels, there is safety. Be wise and didn’t live above counsel.
Proverbs 11:14
Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.

Prayer Point: Lord, deliver me from myself destruction through resistance for wise counsel on Jesus name.
