House of Reps candidate passes away four days to election

Alhaji Kamilu Ado Isa, the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) candidate for the House of Representatives seat of Wudil/Garko, has passed away.
Isa, a former Assistant Comptroller General for the NSCDC (Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps), passed away on Monday after a brief illness.
He passed away four days before the general elections for the Senate, the House of Representatives, and the presidency.

Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the NNPP presidential candidate, sent a condolence message to his family in which he referred to his passing as shocking and a huge void that cannot be filled.
He claimed that the candidate prayed to God Almighty to pardon his shortcomings as he dedicated his time, wealth, and energy to the party’s and his local community’s success.

“The passing of Hon. Kamilu Ado Isah, the NNPP’s candidate for the Wudil/Garko constituency in the House of Representatives, saddens me.

“May the All-Powerful Allah grant him forgiveness for his transgressions and eternal peace. His family, friends, and the NNPP Kano Chapter have my condolences, he said.

According to Islamic custom, the deceased was interred in Kano.
