Prior to the election on February 25, a new survey by Stears Nigeria revealed that Peter Obi, the Labour Party candidate, had a 41% lead.

Abubakar Atiku of the People’s Democratic Party and Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are vying for second place with 31% and 20%, respectively.

When asked who they would most likely vote for, 36% of the respondents remained silent.

The largest telephone-based electoral poll in Nigeria, according to Stears, “covers 6,220 respondents across Nigeria’s 36 States.”

In the event of a low voter turnout, Tinubu will win the election, according to Stears’ model.

Obi and Atiku are expected to receive 32% and 22% of the votes, respectively, while the former governor of Lagos State will receive 39% of the votes.

The pollsters stated that “Stears prediction model believes that Tinubu has the most silent voters, i.e. people who intend to vote for Tinubu but choose not to disclose this during an interview.”
