Newly elected Senators, Reps to receive their return certificates March 7, 8
The certificates of return for the candidates who won seats in the Senate and House of Representatives during the election on last Saturday will be distributed next week.
This was stated by the Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC, on Saturday during a meeting with the Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, and the Resident Electoral Commissioners, or RECs.
Yakubu stated that the elect senators would receive their certificates on March 7 and their elect representatives on March 8.

The INEC Chairman also announced that 423 legislative seats had winners, and 46 constituencies appeared to need additional elections.
It was revealed that 325 out of 360 seats in the House of Representatives and 98 out of the 109 Senate seats had also been chosen.
The seats in the Senate were won by seven political parties, while the seats in the House of Representatives were won by eight parties.
Senators and House of Representatives elect will receive certificates on March 7th and 8th, respectively, the INEC chief announced.
