The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has issued far-reaching directives affecting church administration, ministerial conduct, spiritual discipline, and members’ welfare, with a major highlight being the introduction of mandatory medical check-ups for members.
The directives were made known during the Ministers’ Thanksgiving programme, where Pastor Adeboye emphasized order, accountability, spiritual depth, and holistic wellbeing as the church prepares for greater expansion.
Key Decisions and Directives includes Annual Fasting and Spiritual Discipline. RCCG will observe a 30-day annual fasting programme from February 1 to March 2, reinforcing the church’s commitment to prayer and consecration.
School of Disciples gets a reform as the duration has been fixed at a minimum of one year, with accelerated classes discontinued. This move aims to strengthen spiritual maturity and doctrinal grounding.
In a significant welfare-driven decision, all members are now required to undergo mandatory medical check-ups, underscoring the importance of physical health alongside spiritual growth.

Adeboye also raised the standard of Marriage counselling which must no longer be rushed. It is now required to be intensive and handled strictly by ministers or pastors, ensuring proper guidance for intending couples.
In the bid to Strenghten RCCG Identity and Unity, the General Overseer ordered that the RCCG motto be boldly displayed on the altar of every parish, with immediate effect.
The theme “Year of Brand New Beginning” must also be displayed in all parishes nationwide. ADEBOYE Added.
It was also included that all RCCG Parishes are mandated to connect with the National Headquarters for Thanksgiving Sunday on the first Sunday of every month.
Pastor Adeboye expressed displeasure over ministers who fail to attend the monthly Holy Ghost Service (HGS), describing it as an insult to the office of the General Overseer. Such behavior, he warned, is no longer acceptable.
It was added that all officiating ministers are to pray with Daddy G.O at the prayer foyer of the New Auditorium before proceeding to their assigned venues. Ministers officiating at the old arena are to move there only after the joint prayer session.
On Church Growth and Expansion,
RCCG reaffirmed its core growth platforms such as Monthly Evangelism, Local Government Area Fellowship (LGAF), Annual Convention, Congress.
Any minister who withdraws from these platforms, Pastor Adeboye warned, signals unreliability in God’s assignment and risks being replaced.
The church also directed that all land and property title documents be properly registered and copies forwarded to the National Headquarters without delay. Additionally, RCCG will now be more deliberate and firm in the creation of new Provinces and Regions.
Pastor Adeboye’s personal prayer point was shared:
“Lord, don’t let me ever offend You.”
He reminded ministers and members alike that “If God is for you, nobody can fight against you.”
He further warned against false doctrines, calling believers to holiness, stressing that God is holy.
RCCG Prophecies for the Year was released:
1. God has given RCCG a final opportunity for voluntary confession before exposure; voluntary repentance attracts minimal discipline.
2. Many backsliders will return to the church.
3. Long-standing prayers will receive answers this year.
4. Many will respond to the call of God.
5. The year will be filled with opportunities, and grace will be given to enjoy them.
6. There will be widespread revival—both corporately and individually.
7. Some ministers will experience exceptional divine lifting and visibility.
These directives mark a renewed phase of discipline, care, and spiritual awakening within the RCCG, as the church positions itself for deeper impact and expansion.
