What Abians should expect from me – Abia Governor-elect, Alex Otti
Alex Otti, the incoming governor of Abia State, said on Thursday that Abians can anticipate extensive state restructuring once he takes office.
Otti stated during an appearance on Arise Television’s The Morning Show that he would assemble a team to assist him over the coming days and that he would expand and strengthen Abia’s economy.
He continued by saying that one of his top priorities would be paying salaries.
Otti declared, “I will appoint a team that will be sworn in on May 29 in the coming days. I’ll choose the right people to assist me.
“We’ll consider a lot of things, but we’ll proceed cautiously, including revenue.

“I have already started contacting banks as of yesterday. They can anticipate Abia’s overall restructuring.
There is nothing wrong with taking out loans, he continued, but the issue is what you do with them. My top priority is paying salaries.
“We will build a stronger, larger economy, and we will take all necessary steps to ensure that our economy expands.”
According to reports, Otti received 175,467 votes in all, defeating Okey Ahiwe of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who received 88,529 votes and finished in second place.
After the final collation of the governorship election results resumed in Umuahia on Wednesday evening, Prof. Nnenna Nnannaya-Oti, the state’s NEC returning officer, declared Otti the victor.
