Pastor Giwa: Tinubu shouldn’t celebrate yet, Nigerians will reclaim their mandates

Adewale Giwa, senior pastor of the Awaiting the Second Coming of Christ Ministries, has urged Bola Tinubu, the president-elect, not to continue celebrating his victory in the recently held elections.

The well-known preacher urged Tinubu to return the certificate provided by the Independent National Election Commission, INEC, in an address to media on Sunday in Akure, Ondo State, emphasizing that Nigerians would regain their mandates.

Giwa’s claim comes amid protests over suspected election fraud by opposition parties such as the Peoples Democratic Partydaily, PDP, and the Labour Party, LP.

But, the electoral authority has dismissed the criticisms leveled at it by the parties and other worried Nigerians, pledging to do better in the gubernatorial and state assembly elections.

Giwa asserts that if the president-elect succeeds President Muhammadu Buhari on May 29, there won’t be any Nigeria.

Giwa stated, “Tell him not to rejoice, Nigerians will regain their mandate since Tinubu imposed himself on them,” comparing Tinubu to the historical Abimelech, the son of Gideon in the book of Judges Chapter 9.

Bola Tinubu probably wouldn’t be the one to change Nigeria and bring the people to God, in my opinion. If this injustice continues, there will be severe racial and religious conflicts.

If they don’t pay attention and respect the wishes of the Nigerian people, there will be harsh consequences. It is harmful to impose yourself on others.
