TEC News! 17th August 2023. 10.52 am.
Nigerians on Thursday morning have been woken up with the awareness of a new sighted billboard with the caption, ‘25% in FCT is a Must’ in addition to the ongoing controversial slogan of ‘All Eyes On The Judiciary’.
This information was sighted by TEC News Correspondent on the Twitter page accredited to Peter Obi Grassroot Movement and the billboard with the inscription, ‘25% IN FCT is a Must’ is not only boldly written but with the hashtag ‘All Eyes is On The Judiciary’ at the foot of the billboard. The twitter post reads:
“As early as possible this morning, another billboard sighted somewhere with “25% IN FCT IS A MUST”
You can’t prevent the emergence of an idea whose moment has arrived.
#AllEyesOnTheJudiciary”.
Recall that the Federal Government recently barn the agency responsible for advertisement regulations in Nigeria with two Directors removed over the billboard with ‘All Eyes is On The Judiciary’ which has triggered a lot of reaction from Nigerians.
The reason for the barn was given to be that the billboard is a threat to the judiciary which members are supposed to carry out their duties freely and without fear of favour.
Nigerians have reacted differently to this action and reason given, but a whole lots of items have been branded with the same slogan ranging from handbag, T-Shirts, Mugs, Cups etc.
An aid to the former vice President and the 2023 Presidential Candidate of People Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in reaction to the post said “You can remove billboards but you can’t remove all eyes on the judiciary”.
As some Nigerians wonder what else would be done to the viral slogans, other inventions of same is flooding the streets daily and in new formats. TEC News Reports.
