Gunmen Attack Nasarawa Community, Kill One, Abduct Another

Residents of Lafia have been thrown into panic following a fresh attack by suspected gunmen in Angwan Mada community.
The assailants reportedly stormed the area along Kwandare Road on Sunday night, killing a resident identified as Jonathan Audu just hours after he moved into his newly completed home.
In the same attack, another resident, identified simply as Bilyaminu, was abducted after the gunmen fired sporadically, causing widespread fear among residents.
A community source disclosed that the attackers were heavily armed and operated with ease during the invasion.
According to reports, the kidnappers have already contacted the family of the abducted victim, demanding a ransom of ₦10 million for his release.
This incident comes barely 24 hours after a similar attack in Kwarra community in Wamba Local Government Area, where three persons were reportedly kidnapped, raising fresh concerns over the growing insecurity in Nasarawa State.
