AY makes lifetime commitment to Peter Obi despite presidential election loss

Ayo Makun, better known by his stage name AY, is a comedian and actor from Nigeria. He recently responded to Peter Obi’s loss as the presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 election.
In the early hours of March 1st, Tinubu, the presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress, was reportedly declared the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In a close race, the former governor of Lagos State defeated rivals Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with 8,805,420 votes.

In response, AY expressed his pride in Peter Obi for inspiring many Nigerians to have courage, ambition, and plans for a better country via his Instagram page.He urged the former governor of Anambra State to continue with his genuine intention for Nigeria adding he would not relent in his support for him.
He wrote: “From the very day you honoured my open invitation to speak with Nigerians concerning the 2023 elections, I became proud of you and what you represent.

“Till this very minute, you still make a lot of people feel so proud of your courage, handwork, ambition, and plans for a better Nigeria. Continue to be honest with your genuine intentions for our country, Nigeria.
