Breaking: Rivers chapter of Labour party gets dissolves over corruption

With immediate effect, Julius Abure, the national chairman of the Labour Party (LP), has disbanded the Rivers State Labour Party State Executive Council for flagrant anti-party behaviour and managerial corruption.
The party’s spokesman, Kenneth Okonkwo, released a statement on Tuesday stating that the chairman of the party thinks it’s in the best interest of the Labour Party and the Obedient movement in Rivers State for those who were in charge of the state’s affairs when our presidential mandate was openly stolen in State to step aside until a thorough investigation is finished.

The National Chairman further stated that he was no longer confident in the capacity of the compromised State Executive Council, headed by Deinye Pepple, to oversee the campaign for the March 11th governorship and State House of Assembly elections.

He exhorts all Obidients in Rivers State to ignore any remarks made by the disgraced State Chairman of the Labour Party, Deinye Pepple, concerning the election of March 11th, and he reiterates the Labour Party’s unequivocal support for Comrade Beatrice Itubo’s bid to become the next governor of Rivers State.

To vote for Comrade Beatrice Itubo of the Labour Party on March 11, he consequently urges all Obidients to turn out in large numbers.
