Imo govt paying corps members N10,000 ‘allowee’: Official

According to the statement, Governor Hope Uzodimma’s promise to make the welfare of corps members a priority was fulfilled as a result of the gesture.

He went on to say that the improved welfare would help bring out the best in the corps members and encourage them to make significant contributions to the growth of the state and the country of Nigeria.

During their year of service, the governor stressed the importance of the corps members remaining dedicated, disciplined, and resourceful.

It conveyed its deepest gratitude to Rachael Idaewor, the coordinator of the Imo National Youth Service Corps, for the youth-friendly policies of the government, which were demonstrated in the gesture.

“Governor Hope Uzodimma has approved and begun payment of N10,000 as a monthly allowance to each corps member in the state,” the statement continued to say after the announcement.

It was maintained that the action would be of significant assistance to the corps members in carrying out their responsibilities.

In addition, the statement included quotations from a variety of corps members who thanked the governor for considering their wellbeing and expressing concern for them.

According to the statement, the corps members “promised to reciprocate the gesture by putting in their best in their respective Places of Primary Assignment and host communities.”
