The Labour Party’s (LP) Peter Obi is running for president, and Pa Ayo Adebanjo has urged Nigerians to support him on Saturday.
In a meeting with Atunluse Initiatives, the head of the largest Yoruba organization, Afenifere, solicited support for Obi.
On Tuesday in Lagos, the elder statesman hosted the Yoruba sociocultural and political group’s leadership, according to NAN.

To free Nigeria from the chains of destitution and poor leadership, according to Adebanjo, the people needed the former governor of Anambra.
All citizens have a duty to defend their liberties in this weekend’s presidential election, he said.
We lack the resources to combat them, but we must take all legal action to set ourselves free, he said.
According to Adebanjo, the North and the South had an understanding that power would be shared at the center.
The nonagenarian remembered that Umaru Yar’Adua presided over the North and Olusegun Obasanjo ruled the South-West.

“Goodluck Jonathan did it on his own, from South to South, and it turned around and went north. The South-East should receive it in the name of equity, he said, referring back to the South.
Later, Adebanjo and other Afenifere leaders met with Atunluse chairman Akinsola Akinbobola and his delegation behind closed doors.
