Sen. Danjuma Goje, who represents Gombe Central in the National Assembly, was kicked out of the All Progressives Congress (APC) by the local party leadership in Gombe State’s Kashere Ward of the Akko local government area on Tuesday due to alleged anti-party activities.
According to a report, the party at the ward level in Kashere recently established a panel to investigate the alleged anti-party activities of the senator and former governor of the State during the recently concluded 2023 elections.

When speaking with reporters in Kashere, the APC Ward Chairman, Tanimu Abdullahi, explained that the party had unanimously decided to expel Goje after determining that he had engaged in anti-party activities, such as missing the Gombe State APC campaign rally presided over by Senator Abdullahi Adamu, as well as the presidential campaign rally in the State, which was attended by the president-elect and vice president-elect.
Akko federal constituency, State constituency, and ward units, as well as the Senator’s Central senatorial zone, were all named in Abdullahi’s addition as areas where the Senator was accused of boycotting all party campaign tours.
The committee also discussed the claims that Goje had been mingling with opposition parties’ candidates in an effort to harm the APC’s standing in Gombe State and throughout Nigeria.
He continued, “Open support to opposition party candidates by hosting the NNPP governor candidate and the PDP Akko candidate for the Federal House of Representatives in his residence and offered support against the interest of his party, the APC, among many other instances.”

Senator Goje also engaged in “making pronouncements that undermined the APC administration in the state and sponsoring campaign of calumny with the intention of inciting the public against the APC administration in the state,” according to Abdullahi.
“Giving clear instructions to his associates and proteges to work against the interests of the APC in Gombe State by ensuring that only Senator Goje is elected on the APC platform (using the Goje Kawai slogan) while working to defeat other APC candidates at all levels.
In light of Senator Muhammadu Danjuma Goje’s numerous anti-party activities, which violate Article 21, Section A, subsections ii, iii, vi, and vii of the APC constitution, the executive council of the All Progressives Congress in the Kashere ward has decided to expel him from the party.
