Breaking: President Impeached, Electoral Umpires Declared Illegal.

TEC News!

The National President of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools, NAPPS, Chief Yomi Otubela has been removed from office for allegedly going against the Association Constitution and allegations of corrupt practices.

The decision was taken in an online meeting held on Thursday 9th November, 2023 by a group of members known as the people Parliament and Concerned Members of NAPPS from various States and Zones of the body represented votes casted on all decisions as led by the fraction secretary, Dr Abdulraham Adetunji.

It was alleged that the president constituted an illegal delegate meeting on the 23rd October, 2023 where a BOT from the South West, Prince Sakiru Adesina Raji was illegally and disgracefully removed while the constitutional provision of a 4-year single term changed to double terms.

It was gathered by our correspondent that all efforts to make the embattled president change his stand to go with the 2017 Constitution proved abortive. Hence, the meeting was conveyed and the impeachment procedures was carried out.

Information made available to TEC News revealed that the BOT of the Association headed by Dr Saidu Mijinyawa had released a communique arising in their meeting held on the 6th of November, 2023 which revealed annulment of the decisions taken in the purported delegate meeting held.

The BOT communique text below:

” *COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE EMERGENCY MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES* *NAPPS NIGERIA TO ADDRESS THE CURRENT CRISES ROCKING THE ASSOCIATION* *CAUSED BY THE CONVOCATION OF A NATIONAL DELEGATES CONFERENCE OF* *OCTOBER 23, 2023 IN ABUJA” has the content below and as the BOTs chairman is quoted thus:

“The Board of Trustees NAPPS Nigeria Chairman, led eight other members to an Emergency Meeting today, 6th day of November 2023 to address simmering urgent matters capable of destroying the very foundation of the Association following the convocation of an illegal National Delegates Conference on October 23, 2023 after the Board had in an earlier Memo advised the National Executive Council against holding the meeting.

The Board was miffed at the unnecessary militarisation of the venue of the purported National Delegates Conference which created panic among members as well as the total conducts of the meeting.

The Board, noting that nothing could be built on nothing declared in unequivocal term that the act of holding the meeting was illegal since it was against the Board’s directive, hence all decisions, pronouncements, proclamations and actions taken at the purported National Delegates Conference was declared null , void and lacks any effect.

    Add

For avoidance of doubts, the purported Amendments of the 2017 Constitution , Convocation of Electoral Committee, removal of Prince Sakiru Adesina Raji and Dr Mrs Chinwe Olikeze by voice proclamation as Trustees of NAPPS Nigeria is invalidated, void and inconsequential”.

The National President earlier allegedly impeached by the group Concerned NAPPS members and People Parliament with majority votes of 100 percent yes to all decisions against the National President and an impeachment pronounced by the Secretary of the Group and Zero ‘No’ has not been available to TEC news despite all efforts to reach him but a post he made and circulated across the platforms of the Association as sights was a plea for calm within the association.

Our Correspondent gathered that the National Secretary, Dr Augustine Ajibade has referred all questions and explanations to his superior for answer when he was contacted.
