The capital of Rivers State, Port Harcourt, experienced an explosion on Tuesday night that was thought to be caused by dynamite.
According to information obtained that, the two media companies are owned by Chinyere Igwe, a House of Representatives member and ardent supporter of PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.
Igwe confirmed the attack on the facility in a statement to reporters on Wednesday. He also said that the facility’s generator house had suffered significant damage from the explosion.
The federal lawmaker continued, “I’ve told the police about the explosion, and some police detachment have been to the scene of the incident.”

He said: “We have informed the Police, some detachment of the police came and the DPO called to inform me today some bomb experts are coming for further investigations.”
Magnus Abe Escapes Assassination As Hoodlums Attack SDP Campaign Train In Rivers State
Recall that the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Rivers State, Senator Magnus Abe, escaped assassination attempt after unknown gunmen attacked his campaign train at Akinima community in Ahoada-West local government area of the State.
Members of the campaign train were seen in a brief video running erratically and scurrying for cover when the gunmen opened fire.
Senator Abe and his team reportedly came under heavy gunfire while visiting Ubeta and other nearby communities before traveling to Akinima.
Abe had confirmed the attempted murder by saying: “We went there and they went and used two vehicles to block the road so that we cannot get there.
