Funke Akindele, a well-known Nollywood actress who became a politician, has removed all of the political posts she had made to her Instagram account.
Hours after she lost, Akindele, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, running mate of Abdulazeez Adediran, also known as Jandor, who was running for governor of Lagos State, deleted the posts.

Photos from her campaign rallies and all of her political appearances during the election campaign were shown to be missing.
This comes after the recently completed March 18, 2023, gubernatorial elections saw incumbent governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, defeat PDP.
With 762,134 votes, Sanwo Olu defeated Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party, who received 312,329 votes. Abdul-Azeez Adediran came in second with 62,449 votes.
