Naira redesign: Nigerians should be allowed to choose their President – Shehu Sani

Shehu Sani, a former lawmaker from Nigeria, has insisted that the country’s citizens should be able to choose their president.

On Thursday, he posted the declaration using his verified Twitter account.

After President Muhammadu Buhari spoke to Nigerians about the Naira redesign policy, he responded.

Buhari commanded the return of the N200 coin to circulation.

The president added that the policy of the Naira redesign would assist in preventing vote buying in the upcoming election.

Sani concurred with Buhari in saying that political influence shouldn’t be bought or sold.

He wrote on Twitter, “The next Nigerian President should be elected via vote, not auction. Political influence shouldn’t be purchased or sold.“Sharing money to electorates for votes is not democracy; this is the time to put an end to it.”
