Popular activist and comedian Debo Adebayo, also known by his stage name Mr. Macaroni, responded to the development by stating that it is proof that the people still have the power. He also made fun of those who called the Labour Party a structureless, internet-based party. On Monday, he posted on Twitter, saying: “Peter Obi has won Lagos State!!! Despite all the violence and intimidation unleashed in Lagos!!! The margin ought to be much higher! I simply want people to understand that we hold the power. No structure, they declared! They claimed it was online noise! LESSONS!!!!!”
