Nurse Slumps, dies on duty in Zamfara hospital

Ahmed Sani Yariman Bakura, a nurse at the Specialist Hospital in Zamfara State, reportedly slumped and passed away while performing her duties.
According to the hospital’s spokesman, Auwal Usman, who confirmed the incident to the Tribune on Wednesday, Bakura appeared healthy and alert when he arrived at the hospital but was later declared dead after taking the blood pressure of about 30 patients.

Usman added that she had visited a doctor to complain about a cardiac problem, but she passed away soon after.

It was claimed that it was too late for the medical staff to revive her.

He continued, “The doctors did everything they could to save her life, but they were powerless because she passed away instantly.

Usman claims that the hospital’s management team, under the direction of Medical Director Dr. Usman Shanawa, has given the deceased’s body to his or her family.

When reached, a relative of the deceased nurse confirmed that Asmau left her home on Wednesday morning, healthy and unharmed, and went to the hospital where she works as a nurse.

According to Islamic law, she was buried today by 5 o’clock at Malan Abdurrahaman House in the Bungudu neighborhood of Magama.
