According to Labour Party (LP) chieftain Wale Okunniyi, Peter Obi has a good chance of defeating Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 presidential election.
According to reports, Okunniyi claimed that his candidate would have won the election at 12:00 PM, which is before the regular election closing time, when he appeared live today on Channels Television’s election program titled “The 2023 Verdict.”

The politician expressed confidence that the former governor of Anambra State would win the election on Saturday due to the organic membership and support base of the Labour Party.
“My optimism tells me that [Peter Obi will win] straight by the first ballot,” said Okunniyi. My analyses confirm my optimism and the degree of effort that some of us have expended. By noon, it will be obvious that we have won, and we will be shocked.

He made sure to emphasize during the interview, “I am telling you what I have analyzed.

“By 2:30 pm when voting ends, it is to collate. If you are in a polling unit, for instance, and you see the trend, and you have canvassers, information would have gotten to you.”

Okunniyi maintained that with the enthusiasm shown so far by Nigerians, voting should end early Saturday.

“In my polling unit, what has happened so far is that in three hours, it is clear [the winner is known], and the INEC officials would just be playing,” he continued.
