Tension in Delta community as youth leader, Eferhobo is axed to death

In Delta State’s Agbarho community, Ughelli North Local Government Area, there is unrest due to the murder of Chief Sylvester Eferhobo, a prominent youth figure.

We learned that the incident happened on Sunday night.

According to information obtained, the deceased’s attackers forced him to leave his home before killing him.

“As soon as he emerged, his assailants, who were fully armed, fired several shots at him, but they missed.

The source claimed that the attackers “dragged him to a nearby bush where they axed him to death.”

Chief Efethobo was an active All Progressives Congress, APC, member.

His Chieftaincy title was recently bestowed upon him by HRM Ajuwe Samson Ogugu 1, the Osuivie of the Agbarho Kingdom.

Residents linked his death to cult-related issues.

As of the time of filing this report, most shops within and outside the Agbarho market have been shut down for fear of being attacked by hoodlums.

The Police are yet to comment on the matter.
