Breaking: Ex-pension boss convict slumps in Abuja office

By Sadiya Abubakar

Abdulrasheed Maina, former chairman of the defunct Pension Reform Task Team, has been hospitalised in Abuja after slumping outside his office on Tuesday, according to his aide.

He reportedly lost balance due to complications from an untreated knee injury, fell on a staircase, and briefly passed out.

Maina is currently under medical observation, with doctors considering air ambulance evacuation if his condition does not stabilise.

He was recently released from prison after serving eight years in jail for pension fraud, following his conviction and eight-year sentence upheld by the Court of Appeal.
